Thoughtful research and careful investigation are the first steps in the adventure of career planning. If you want to locate descriptions of careers and the outlook for working in that field or industry explore the following library resources

Use the online catalog  to access a career titles.  For example, look under the heading Medicine-Vocational Guidance for books on careers in the health industry. Information on resumes can be found in the areas of HF5383 and interviewing can be found in HF5549.

Professional journals and newspapers contain classified ads. Consult the Encyclopedia of Associations  for a list of professional associations and their publications.
