Multicultural Short Story Collections: Home

The bibliography below lists twentieth and twentiety-first century short story collections by individuals who have at least one of the three following characteristics. The authors are American, but from ethnically diverse backgrounds; the authors are from other countries: or the authors are from mainstream American culture but have not been studied exhaustively in high school English classes. This is a selective list of titles in the Billington Library at Johnson County Community College. Many other titles of equal merit owned by the library, as well as those in other libraries, do not appear on this list. For the purpose of this assignment, however, students will have to select one of the titles listed below.
