2017 Eclipse: Home

The Great American Eclipse

The entire continental United States will be on the path of the eclipse on August 21st, 2017.  At Johnson County Community College, we will see a partial solar eclipse.  The eclipse will peak at 1:08 pm CDT here when the moon will obscure 99.6% of the sun.  The image below, from NASA Eyes site, shows what the eclipse will look like at its peak on campus.

Can't wait to see another eclipse?

In the continental U.S., the next total solar eclipse will be April 8, 2024.

Can't wait until then?  Head to South America on July 2, 2019.
