Contemporary Visual Arts at JCCC

JCCC holds world class art collections, and the library can help you learn more about artists with artworks on view.

Art on Campus

Johnson County Community College is home to the world-class Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art with one of the nation's “Big Ten” college collections of public art. With nearly 400 works of art on permanent display across campus, JCCC demonstrates the philosophy of 'living with art' through a series of media focus areas designed to facilitate interaction with art on a daily basis. The permanent collection of over 1000 objects includes works by regionally, nationally, and internationally known artists. Works are installed outdoors, and in the interior public spaces of the Regnier Center, the Hospitality & Culinary Academy, the Carlsen Center, OCB, and the Commons Buildling.
