I have a special place in my heart for the students and faculty who participate in College Now, our dual credit program for high school students. I was a College Now student myself in high school and the credits I earned through the program made a difference in my college career.
Every year I provide library orientations for faculty and have the chance to visit local high schools to work with students. In March of 2016, I worked with Jason Martin, faculty member at Olathe North High School to bring 50 visiting seniors to campus to visit the library. Students learned about the library and gained college level research experience as they worked on their final papers for the school year. Attached below is the assignment I developed with Martin for his students to write a paper about the book 1984.
