Newspapers at the Library

How to access newspaper articles from JCCC Library and set up personal accounts for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Kansas City Business Journal. and the Washington Post.

Free Washington Post Subscription

Billington Library is excited to have the opportunity to provide all campus members with their own digital Washington Post subscription.    

Click here to establish your Washington Post subscription.

You will be prompted to create an account. Enter your JCCC email address, agree to the Terms and Conditions, and choose a password to register. Once you've registered, you will receive a verification email. Follow the instructions in the verification email, then return to the Washington Post website.

Click on your name, which will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Click on My Post, then click on Manage Account on the right hand side. Under Account, select the Subscription & Billing tab. Click the "Activate Free Digital Access" button. You should receive a success message. You can now use the login credentials you created to login to the WaPost website or app. Student accounts will remain active until graduation, while all other account types will need to be renewed once a year.

Other Methods for Access

Don't want to register an account to read the WaPost? You can browse the latest stories through the Washington Post library link. Campus members will be prompted to login using their JCCC username and password when accessing the resource off-campus.
