July Celebrations!

Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July and is an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences and struggles of the disability community.

Visit this Disability Pride Month site for more information on events and activities at JCCC and the Kansas City region.

June Celebrations!

Juneteenth is when we celebrate the emancipation of enslaved individuals in the United States on June 19th. It has recently been voted by Congress for Juneteenth to become a federal holiday.

Celebrate at the JuneteenthKC Cultural Heritage Festival

June is Pride Month, when we celebrate the accomplishments and impact lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals have had across the world.

Remember that, while we have curated this list to things that happen in June, many of these events and organizations are active throughout the year.
