OER include full courses, course materials, modules, textbooks, streaming videos, tests, software, and any other tools, materials, or techniques used to support access to knowledge.” - Hewlett Foundation
Any faculty member implementing OER into a course that will be replacing course material associated with a cost to students.
This can include traditionally published textbooks and publisher-provided materials like test banks, slides, handouts, manuals, guides, videos, entire LMS modules or courses, and similar content.
